Bay Windows: uPVC & Aluminium, Made to Measure

Bay windows are one of the most popular upgrades for period and modern homes alike, projecting outward from the wall to add extra floor space, flood a room with natural light, and give the front of a house real kerb appeal. At Inspired Glazing, we design and fit made-to-measure bay windows in uPVC and aluminium, built to suit everything from Victorian semis to contemporary new-builds across Windsor, Berkshire and the Thames Valley.

Types of Bay Windows

Not all bay windows are the same shape. The right style depends on your property’s period, the room, and how much extra space you want to gain.

Bay Window FAQs

Do bay windows need extra structural support?

Most bay windows sit on a supporting sub-frame or a low masonry upstand rather than resting directly on a floor joist, and larger or upper-floor bays may need a steel support beam. We assess this during your free survey and handle any structural requirements as part of the installation.

Can I replace an existing bay window with the same shape?

Yes — in most cases we can match your existing bay’s angle and footprint exactly, so there’s no need for building work to the surrounding brickwork or roofline.

Are bay windows more expensive than standard windows?

Because a bay window uses more glass and frame than a single flat window, and often needs a supporting roof or sub-frame, it typically costs more than a standard window of the same wall opening. Get in touch for a free, no-obligation quote based on your exact size and style.

Do bay windows come with a warranty?

Yes, every bay window we install comes with our 10-year warranty, and all installations are FENSA registered and Building Regulations certified.
