Sussex is a long way from a single postcode, so it helps to be clear about where we work. From our workshop at Coningsby Farm in Fifield, near Windsor, we survey, fabricate and install aluminium windows and doors, along with UPVC windows and doors and composite doors, for homes across the northern edge of West Sussex and the Surrey border towns that sit next to it. The main places we cover are Crawley, East Grinstead, Horsham, Haywards Heath and Horley, plus the villages in between.

We do not have a Sussex showroom or a local office, and we would rather say that plainly. Our team drives down from Fifield, usually by the M25 and then the M23. Crawley and Horley are typically around 40 miles away, and East Grinstead, Horsham and Haywards Heath a little further, so most journeys take roughly an hour depending on traffic. We plan surveys and installations around that drive so the fitting crew arrives early and works a full day on site.
Towns and villages we cover in Sussex
Crawley
Crawley was one of the post-war New Towns, built around older settlements such as Ifield, Three Bridges and Worth. That gives the borough an unusual mix: 1950s to 1970s neighbourhood estates, Victorian and Edwardian streets near the station and the Brighton Road, and a handful of village cores with medieval buildings. Crawley Borough Council manages planning and has designated a number of conservation areas. Read more on our Crawley windows and doors page.
East Grinstead
East Grinstead sits on the border with Surrey and Kent, with the High Weald on its eastern and southern edges. Its High Street is a conservation area with a long run of timber-framed buildings, while the wider town has Victorian villas, inter-war semis and later estates. Planning is handled by Mid Sussex District Council. See our East Grinstead windows and doors page for nearby villages such as Forest Row, Felbridge, Ashurst Wood and Dormansland.
Horsham
Horsham is a market town with a historic centre and large areas of family housing built from the Victorian period onwards. Planning here sits with Horsham District Council, so if your home is in or near the older part of town, it is worth checking with them before choosing a new window style.
Haywards Heath
Haywards Heath grew up around its railway station, and much of its older housing dates from that period, alongside more recent estates. Like East Grinstead it falls under Mid Sussex District Council, which lists conservation areas in the town such as Muster Green and The Heath.
Horley
Horley is just over the county line in Surrey, in the borough of Reigate and Banstead, with Gatwick between it and Crawley. We include it here because it shares the same journey and the same commuter-belt housing, from older semis to newer developments such as Westvale Park. If you are elsewhere in Surrey, our Surrey windows and doors page covers the rest of the county.
The High Weald National Landscape
Part of this area lies in or beside the High Weald National Landscape, formerly the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Villages such as Ashurst Wood sit inside it, and East Grinstead’s southern and eastern edges adjoin it. In a protected landscape, the look of a property from the road often matters more, particularly on older cottages and farmhouses. We will not tell you what is or is not allowed; the right step is to check with your local planning authority before committing to a design. What we can do is show you slim aluminium profiles, colours and glazing bar options that tend to sit comfortably on traditional Wealden homes.
What we offer Sussex homeowners
- Aluminium windows, led by Reynaers SlimLine 68, our core range, with Cortizo and Alunet systems as alternatives. See aluminium windows in Sussex and our Reynaers SL68 page.
- Aluminium sliding doors using Reynaers ConceptPatio 130. More on our sliding doors page.
- Bifold doors from Smart Visofold and Cortizo. See aluminium bifold doors.
- UPVC windows and doors using Advance 70. See UPVC windows in Sussex.
- Composite front doors. See composite doors.
We are a listed Reynaers at Home installer partner and hold Constructionline Silver. Our aluminium windows and doors are made in our own Fifield workshop and fitted by our own installers, so the people who measure your openings are part of the same business that builds and fits the frames.
How a Sussex survey and installation works
- First conversation. You call, WhatsApp or send a quote request with a few photos. We talk through the rooms, the style you like and any planning questions.
- Survey visit. We drive down from Fifield, measure each opening, check the condition of the reveals and sills, and discuss frame colours, opening styles and glazing.
- Written quotation. Prices start from Β£400 and depend on sizes, system and finish. Our guarantee lasts 10 years.
- Fabrication. Aluminium frames are built to your measurements in our workshop. Current lead time is from 10 days.
- Installation. Our team travels down early, removes the old frames, fits and seals the new ones, and clears up before leaving.

Frequently asked questions
Do you have a showroom or office in Sussex?
No. We are based at Coningsby Farm in Fifield, near Windsor, where we fabricate our aluminium windows and doors. Our team travels to Sussex for surveys and installations, usually via the M25 and M23. Crawley and Horley are typically around 40 miles away, with East Grinstead, Horsham and Haywards Heath a little further, so most journeys take about an hour.
Which parts of Sussex do you cover?
We mainly work in the north of West Sussex: Crawley, East Grinstead, Horsham and Haywards Heath, and villages such as Copthorne, Ashurst Wood and Felbridge. We also cover Horley, which is in Surrey. If you are further south, call us on 01753 965 005 and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
Can I replace windows in the High Weald National Landscape?
Many homeowners in and around the High Weald replace their windows, but the rules depend on your property, whether it is listed and whether it sits in a conservation area. Check with your local planning authority, such as Mid Sussex District Council or Wealden District Council, before you commit. We can then help you choose a design that suits the house.
Should I choose aluminium or UPVC windows for my Sussex home?
Aluminium allows slimmer frames and larger glass areas, and our Reynaers SlimLine 68 range suits both period and modern homes. UPVC is usually the lower-cost option and works well on many post-war and newer houses. We offer both, so at the survey we can explain the trade-offs for your property rather than steering you to one product.
How long does it take from survey to installation?
After the survey we send a written quotation. Once you accept, we order materials and build the aluminium frames in our Fifield workshop. Our current lead time is from 10 days. We then book a fitting date that allows for the drive to Sussex, so the crew can arrive early and complete as much as possible in each visit.
