Quick answer
Choose Smart Systems Visofold if you want one of the UK’s best-known bifolds with PAS 24 security on the Visofold 1000, or the slimmest steel-look finish with the Visofold 6000. How to choose between them
- How wide is the opening? Cortizo can be laid out in anything from two to seven panels. Visofold is configured to suit your opening. We measure at survey and show you the layout options before you order.
- What look do you want? For the slimmest, most steel-like frames, the Visofold 6000 is the one. For a clean, contemporary look at a more everyday specification, the Visofold 1000 or Cortizo both work well.
- How much does certified security matter? The Visofold 1000 is PAS 24 certified, with multi-point locking and glazing held in from the inside. We install to the PAS 24 standard, and you can ask to see the certification for any system we quote.
- Do you want a level floor line? Both systems offer a low-threshold option. The right choice depends on your floor levels, so we check them at the survey.
- Where will the doors stack? Folding doors need room to stack open. Cortizo can stack to one or both sides, which can help when space is tight on one side of the opening.
What do bifold doors cost?
Price depends on the system, the size of the opening, the number of panels, the glass and the finish, so we quote each job individually after a free survey. Our window cost guide explains what drives the price, and we are happy to quote Visofold and Cortizo side by side.
Bifold doors or sliding doors?
Bifolds open the whole width of the wall, while sliding doors give larger panes with slimmer interlocks. If you would rather have fewer, bigger sheets of glass, read about Reynaers CP 130 sliding doors, or see our full bifold and sliding doors guide.
