Double Glazing in Havant: Windows, Doors and Conservatories

Need double glazing in Havant? Inspired Glazing fabricates aluminium windows and doors in its own workshop at Fifield, near Windsor, and fits them with its own installers, alongside UPVC windows, composite doors and conservatories. Havant is roughly 60 miles from Fifield by road, usually around an hour and a quarter to an hour and a half depending on traffic on the A3. We do not have a local office, so surveys and fitting days are planned ahead and our team travels down from Fifield.

One borough, very different streets

Havant Borough covers a lot of ground between Portsdown Hill and the harbours, and the housing changes sharply from one area to the next.

Havant town and Bedhampton

The old centre grew up around St Faith’s Church at the crossroads of East, West, North and South Streets, with older brick buildings, Victorian terraces and villas nearby. Bedhampton and Denvilles add a mix of interwar semis, post-war houses and later estates.

Leigh Park

To the north, Leigh Park was built after the Second World War by Portsmouth City Council as a large overspill estate. Its houses are mainly post-war brick semis and terraces, many now privately owned, and a lot of them are due a second round of replacement windows and doors.

Emsworth, Langstone and Warblington

Along the harbour edge, Emsworth is an old fishing and milling town, Langstone a small historic harbour village and Warblington a scatter of older houses near the castle ruins and church. Here you find Georgian and Victorian cottages, waterfront homes and plenty of exposure to wind and salt.

Conservation areas and who to ask

Planning is handled by Havant Borough Council, which has designated fourteen conservation areas, among them St Faith’s in the old town centre, Old Bedhampton, Emsworth, Langstone and Warblington. If your property is listed, inside one of these areas or a flat, check with Havant Borough Council before you order. Flats do not have householder permitted development rights, so replacement windows may need permission and the freeholder’s consent. Rowlands Castle, just to the north, falls under East Hampshire District Council and the South Downs National Park Authority rather than Havant. Our planning permission guide gives a plain-English overview.

Living by the harbour

Parts of Langstone, Emsworth and the low ground around the harbour are within coastal flood zones, and homes there take the full force of the weather. Well-fitted frames with sound seals keep draughts and driven rain out. Aluminium and UPVC both stand up to salt air; rinsing frames and door tracks with fresh water now and then keeps them in good order.

Products for Havant homes

Noise from the A27 and the railway

Havant is crossed by the A27 and the coastal railway line, and many Bedhampton, Warblington and Denvilles homes sit within earshot of one or both. New frames with sound seals make a noticeable difference, and we can discuss glass options for the rooms closest to the road or line. We can quote room by room if you would rather start with the bedrooms and spread the cost.

Areas covered

We work across Havant, Bedhampton, Denvilles, Leigh Park, Emsworth, Langstone, Warblington and Rowlands Castle. Nearby, see our pages on double glazing on Hayling Island, Waterlooville and Portsmouth.

Frequently asked questions

Do you replace windows on ex-council houses in Leigh Park?

Yes. Many Leigh Park homes are post-war brick houses that are now privately owned and ready for new windows and doors. UPVC in the Selecta Advance 70 system is usually the most cost-effective choice, with aluminium as a slimmer alternative. We measure every opening at a free survey and give a fixed written quote.

Is Emsworth a conservation area for window replacement?

Emsworth has a conservation area designated by Havant Borough Council, as do Langstone, Warblington, Old Bedhampton and St Faith's in Havant's old centre. Whether your replacement windows need permission depends on the property, its listing status and whether it is a house or flat, so check with Havant Borough Council before ordering.

How long is the drive from your workshop to Havant?

Our workshop is at Fifield, near Windsor, roughly 60 miles from Havant by road. The drive usually takes around an hour and a quarter to an hour and a half, depending on the A3. We plan surveys and fitting days in advance so the team arrives with all the frames and materials needed.

What is best for a waterfront house in Langstone?

Waterfront homes face strong wind, rain and salt, so a well-sealed installation matters most. Aluminium windows, such as the Reynaers SlimLine 68, and Reynaers ConceptPatio 130 sliding doors cope well with coastal air. Rinse frames and tracks with fresh water occasionally. Check conservation area rules with Havant Borough Council first.

What guarantee do I get on windows fitted in Havant?

Every installation we carry out comes with a 10-year guarantee, whether it is aluminium, UPVC or a composite door. We fabricate the aluminium frames ourselves in Fifield and use our own fitters, so the same company is responsible for the product and the installation if anything needs attention later.
