Inspired Glazing provides double glazing in Haywards Heath and the villages around it: aluminium windows and doors made in our own Fifield workshop, UPVC windows, composite doors and conservatories, all installed by our own team. Haywards Heath is about 60 miles from Fifield by road, roughly an hour and a quarter via the M25 and M23. We have no local office, so surveys and installations are planned in advance around that journey.

A railway town on the edge of the High Weald
Haywards Heath barely existed before the London to Brighton line opened in 1841. The station brought a town with it, and much of the older housing dates from the following decades: substantial Victorian and Edwardian villas on large plots, brick terraces near the station and the town centre, and leafy roads around Muster Green. Twentieth-century growth filled in the gaps with interwar and post-war houses, and around the turn of the century Bolnore Village began to add a large new neighbourhood to the south-west. To the north and east, Lindfield and Ardingly look out over the High Weald National Landscape.
So a Haywards Heath job could be a set of tall bay windows in a red-brick villa, a straightforward swap on a 1960s semi, or a new set of garden doors on a house only a few years old.
The town is also a busy commuter station on the Brighton main line, and homes close to the railway or to the main roads through town get more passing noise than those on quieter streets. If a bedroom faces the line, laminated acoustic glass is worth discussing at survey; we can fit it in both our aluminium and UPVC frames, and will only suggest it for the rooms where it actually helps.
Our range, room by room
Bays and front elevations on older houses. The Reynaers SlimLine 68 is our core aluminium window, an outward-opening casement with slim frames that respects the shape of period openings. Cortizo and Alunet aluminium windows are also available.
Whole-house replacements on post-war homes. UPVC windows in the Selecta Advance 70 system give reliable performance at a lower cost, with woodgrain foils if you want a warmer finish.
Front doors. A composite door is sturdy and needs little upkeep. We do not make timber doors or windows.
The garden side. For opening a kitchen or extension onto the garden we fit Smart Visofold and Cortizo bifolds and Reynaers ConceptPatio 130 sliding doors, and we also build conservatories, orangeries, porches and roof lanterns.
Muster Green, Lindfield and other protected areas
Planning in Haywards Heath is handled by Mid Sussex District Council. The council lists five conservation areas in the town itself: Muster Green, The Heath, Lucastes, Lewes Road and Mill Hill Close. Lindfield, Cuckfield and Ardingly each have their own conservation areas too. If your home is in one of these, is listed, or is a flat, check with Mid Sussex District Council before replacing windows or doors. Flats do not benefit from householder permitted development, so a freeholder’s consent and possibly planning permission will be needed. Our page on planning permission for replacement windows explains where permission tends to come in.
Where we work around the town
We cover Haywards Heath itself together with Lindfield, Cuckfield, Scaynes Hill, Ardingly, Bolnore Village and Wivelsfield. Close by we also have pages for Burgess Hill, Uckfield and Horsham, while our Sussex windows and doors page covers the county as a whole.
What happens after you call
We book a free survey on a day we are already working in Mid Sussex, measure every opening and go through glass, colours and hardware with you. A written quote follows; aluminium windows start from £400, and the double glazing cost guide explains what moves the price. Aluminium frames are fabricated at Fifield with lead times from 10 days. On fitting day our own installers travel down with everything loaded, remove the old frames, install and seal the new ones and tidy up. Bigger jobs run over consecutive days to avoid wasted journeys.
All our installations carry a 10-year guarantee. We are a listed Reynaers at Home installer partner and hold Constructionline Silver.

Frequently asked questions
Do you have a showroom near Haywards Heath?
No. Our only premises are our workshop at Fifield, near Windsor, about 60 miles away by road. Instead of a showroom visit, the surveyor brings samples to your home, and we plan surveys and installation days in advance around the journey so the team arrives with everything needed and the work is completed efficiently.
Can I replace windows in the Lindfield conservation area?
Often you can, but you should check with Mid Sussex District Council first, especially for front elevations or listed buildings. Conservation area status can bring extra controls, and requirements vary by property. Once you know what the council expects, we can advise whether slim aluminium or woodgrain UPVC is likely to be acceptable.
Which windows suit a Victorian villa in Haywards Heath?
For period villas we usually recommend the Reynaers SlimLine 68, an outward-opening aluminium casement with slim frames that keeps the proportions of tall openings and bays. It comes in a wide choice of colours. If the house is listed or the council requires timber, check first, as we do not make timber windows.
How long will my Haywards Heath installation take?
Aluminium windows are made in our workshop with lead times from 10 days once you approve the survey drawings. Fitting a typical house takes one to a few days. Because of the drive from Fifield, we plan larger jobs over consecutive days so the team stays on site until the work is finished.
Are bifold or sliding doors better for a Bolnore Village house?
It depends on how you use the garden. Bifolds from Smart Visofold or Cortizo open almost the full width, which suits patios used in summer. Reynaers ConceptPatio 130 sliding doors give larger glass panels and slimmer frames, so more view all year. We can measure for either at the free survey.
