We are based at Coningsby Farm in Fifield, near Windsor, roughly 15 miles from Addlestone by road, which is usually around half an hour’s drive via the M25. The fitters travel from Fifield each day, so there is no middleman between the survey, the workshop and your home.

Getting to know Addlestone’s homes

Addlestone is the largest settlement in Runnymede, and it has a wider mix of housing than its size suggests. Victorian and Edwardian terraces and cottages cluster near the station and the older streets around the Crouch Oak. Interwar semis and bungalows line the roads towards New Haw and Woodham. Addlestone North has large areas of post-war housing, Row Town to the west is a mainly owner-occupied residential estate, and the town centre has been reshaped by the Addlestone ONE regeneration, which added new flats, shops and a cinema. Former office buildings at Aviator Park on Station Road have also been converted to flats.

Addlestone station has direct trains to London Waterloo, and the town’s position between Weybridge, Chertsey and Woking makes it popular with commuting families. In practice that means many of the homes we survey are three-bedroom semis and terraces being modernised room by room, where new windows go in alongside a new kitchen or a single-storey rear extension. If you are planning building work, it pays to talk to us early, so the door openings in the extension are sized for the product you want.

What that means for your windows

A Victorian cottage and a 1960s semi have very different openings, so we measure and specify each window individually rather than offering one standard style. Owners of newer flats should note that leaseholders generally need freeholder consent before changing windows, and flats have no householder permitted development rights.

Water, motorways and planning

Addlestone sits on low ground. The Bourne and its side streams run through and around the town, and Addlestone Moor includes flood meadows towards the Thames. The M25 passes close by at junction 11, and some streets hear the motorway, so laminated acoustic glass is often worth considering for rooms facing it.

Runnymede Borough Council handles planning. Most of Addlestone is not in a conservation area, but the Wey Navigation conservation area runs along the canal at New Haw and Coxes Lock, and listed buildings anywhere need consent. Check with Runnymede Borough Council if in doubt; from 1 April 2027 its planning role passes to the new West Surrey Council. Our planning permission guide explains the general position for replacement windows.

Our recommendations for Addlestone properties

For period terraces and cottages, our core aluminium window is the Reynaers SlimLine 68, an outward-opening casement with slim sightlines; we also fabricate Cortizo and Alunet aluminium windows. For interwar and post-war houses and bungalows, UPVC windows and doors in the Selecta Advance 70 system are good value, and a composite front door adds security and needs little maintenance. We do not make timber windows or doors; woodgrain finishes are the alternative.

At the back of the house, Smart Visofold and Cortizo bifolds or Reynaers ConceptPatio 130 sliding doors open up a kitchen extension, and we also build conservatories, orangeries, porches and roof lanterns.

Surrounding areas

We cover Addlestone town, Addlestone Moor, New Haw, Woodham, Row Town and Ottershaw. Close by, see double glazing in Chertsey and Weybridge, or the Surrey windows and doors page for the wider county.

From first call to finished fit

Because Addlestone is only around half an hour away, we can usually offer survey slots within a few days. The surveyor measures every opening, checks the reveals and sills, and talks through glass, colours and handles. A written quote follows: aluminium windows start from Β£400, and the double glazing cost guide explains what affects the price. When you go ahead, aluminium frames are made in our Fifield workshop, with lead times from 10 days, and our own fitters install, seal and tidy up.

All our work comes with a 10-year guarantee. We are a listed Reynaers at Home installer partner and hold Constructionline Silver.

Frequently asked questions

Are you a local Addlestone company?

We are nearby rather than in the town. Our only workshop and office are at Coningsby Farm in Fifield, near Windsor, roughly 15 miles from Addlestone by road and around half an hour's drive. Our own team travels from Fifield for every survey and installation.

Do I need planning permission for new windows in Addlestone?

For most unlisted houses outside a conservation area, like-for-like replacement windows are usually permitted development. Flats, listed buildings and homes in the Wey Navigation conservation area at New Haw are different. Check with Runnymede Borough Council, or West Surrey Council from April 2027, if unsure.

Can I replace the windows in my Addlestone town centre flat?

Usually you will need the freeholder's written consent under your lease, and because flats have no permitted development rights, planning permission may also be needed. Many newer blocks also have management company rules on appearance. Gather those consents first and we can supply specifications to support them.

Which windows reduce noise from the M25?

Laminated acoustic glass, ideally with different pane thicknesses, reduces road noise noticeably compared with standard double glazing. We can fit it in aluminium or UPVC frames. Good sealing around the frame also matters, because gaps let sound through. We will advise on the best option at survey.

How long does a typical Addlestone installation take?

A typical semi-detached house is usually fitted in one to two days by our own team. Aluminium frames have lead times from 10 days after you confirm the order. Because we are only around half an hour away, we can fit around your dates without long gaps.
