Our double glazing in Bognor Regis covers aluminium windows and doors fabricated in our own workshop at Fifield, near Windsor, plus UPVC windows, composite doors and conservatories, all installed by our own fitters. Bognor is a long way from our base, roughly 70 miles by road and typically around an hour and a half to an hour and three quarters, so we plan every survey and installation in advance around the journey. There is no Bognor showroom; the team travels from Fifield.

A resort town built in layers
Bognor was a small fishing village until Sir Richard Hotham set out to turn it into a fashionable resort in the late eighteenth century. Growth was slow until the railway arrived in 1864, after which the town filled out with Victorian and Edwardian terraces, villas and boarding houses close to the seafront and station. King George V’s convalescence at Craigweil House in Aldwick led to the “Regis” title in 1929, and in 1933 the town’s boundaries took in Aldwick and Felpham. Through the twentieth century the coastal strip from Pagham to Middleton-on-Sea filled with interwar and post-war bungalows and chalet homes, and North Bersted has seen large new estates more recently.
That mix means we see everything here: tall sash-style openings on seafront terraces, wide picture windows on 1950s bungalows, and conservatories that have reached the end of their life.
Salt, wind and flat coastal land
Bognor sits on low, flat land right on the Channel, and houses in the first few streets back from the promenade take salt spray and strong south-westerly winds. Poorly sealed frames show it first, with draughts, rattling sashes and corroded hinges. Aluminium does not rot and UPVC does not need painting, so both are well suited to the coast. Whichever you choose, rinsing frames, hinges and door tracks with fresh water a few times a year helps the hardware last.
What we fit on Bognor homes
Bungalows and chalet homes
For Aldwick, Felpham and Pagham bungalows, UPVC windows in the Selecta Advance 70 system are a cost-effective choice, available in white, colours and woodgrain. A composite door stands up to the weather well and needs no repainting.
Victorian and Edwardian terraces
For older town-centre homes, our core aluminium window is the Reynaers SlimLine 68, an outward-opening casement with slim sightlines. We also make Cortizo and Alunet aluminium windows. We do not make timber windows or doors.
Sea and garden views
Reynaers ConceptPatio 130 sliding doors give large panes with slim interlocks, while Smart Visofold and Cortizo bifold doors open the whole width. Tired conservatories can be replaced with a new conservatory, orangery or a roof lantern over a flat-roof extension.
Planning with Arun District Council
Bognor Regis is in Arun District. Its conservation areas include The Steyne and Waterloo Square near the seafront, and the area around the railway station. If you live in one of these, in a listed building or in a flat, check with Arun District Council before replacing windows or doors. Flats, including converted seafront houses, have no householder permitted development rights, so permission and the freeholder’s consent may be needed. Our planning guide for replacement windows explains the general picture.
Bognor and the villages around it
We cover Bognor Regis town, Felpham, Aldwick, Pagham, Middleton-on-Sea and North and South Bersted. Along the coast we also have pages on double glazing in Chichester, Littlehampton and Worthing, and our Sussex windows and doors page covers the county.

Frequently asked questions
Which windows last best near the seafront in Bognor Regis?
Aluminium and UPVC both suit the coast because neither rots and neither needs painting. The quality of the seals and installation matters most against wind and spray. Rinse frames, hinges and tracks with fresh water a few times a year to stop salt building up and keep the hardware working smoothly.
Do you replace windows on bungalows in Aldwick and Felpham?
Yes. Bungalows and chalet homes are a large part of the housing along the coast from Pagham to Middleton-on-Sea. We usually suggest UPVC in the Selecta Advance 70 system or slim aluminium, with a composite front door. We measure each opening at a free survey and give a fixed written quote.
Is my house in a Bognor Regis conservation area?
Arun District Council has conservation areas in Bognor including The Steyne and Waterloo Square and the railway station area. If you are in or near these, in a listed building or a flat, check with Arun District Council before replacing windows or doors. We can advise on styles once you know what is allowed.
How do you manage the distance from Fifield to Bognor Regis?
Bognor is roughly 70 miles from our Fifield workshop by road, usually around an hour and a half to an hour and three quarters. We plan surveys and installations in advance, group West Sussex work together and pack every frame and fixing before setting off, so the job runs to plan once we arrive.
Can you replace an old conservatory in Bognor Regis?
Yes. We build new conservatories and orangeries and fit roof lanterns, so an old, overheated or leaking conservatory can be replaced or rethought. We look at the existing base and walls at survey to see what can be reused. Whether planning permission is needed is a question to check with Arun District Council.
