Aluminium Sliding Doors in Moor Park

For aluminium sliding doors in Moor Park, Inspired Glazing fabricates and fits the Reynaers ConceptPatio 130, with Cortizo sliding systems available where a project calls for them. We are a listed Reynaers at Home installer partner, we build the doors in our Fifield workshop near Windsor, and our own team installs them. Moor Park is about 15 miles from Fifield as the crow flies, normally a 40-minute drive or so.

Why sliders suit the estate

Plots on the estate were generally laid out at a third of an acre or more, one house to each, and the trees and lawns are a large part of why people buy here. A wide sliding door keeps that outlook in view all year. With only a few large panes and slim meeting sections, it frames the garden rather than dividing it into strips.

Sliders also suit rooms where furniture sits near the glass, because nothing swings or folds into the room. On a long rear elevation you can run two or three large vents across the opening and slide them past fixed panes.

Reynaers ConceptPatio 130 in figures

These values come from the Reynaers technical data. Reynaers notes that performance depends on size, profiles, hardware and glass, so we confirm them for your opening.

Our Reynaers sliding doors guide explains the system in more depth, and our wider Reynaers windows and sliding doors page shows how it pairs with matching windows.

When a Cortizo slider is the better fit

Cortizo makes several sliding systems. Its Cor Vision Plus minimal slider lists sashes up to 4 m wide or high, at up to 400 kg when moved by hand, with Uw quoted from 0.9 W/mยฒK and a bottom rail that can be set into the floor. For openings beyond what ConceptPatio offers, we discuss it, and our Cortizo overview lists the options.

Approvals before you order

Moor Park was designated a conservation area in 1995, so permitted development rights are tighter than on an ordinary street. Check with Three Rivers District Council about whether your new doors or extension need consent; our page on planning and replacement glazing covers the basics.

The estate company, Moor Park (1958) Ltd, also has to approve external changes under the covenants in every freehold deed. Its process involves plans and a viewing fee at the planning stage, then a refundable building levy that covers any damage to the private roads and verges. Large glass vents arrive on a vehicle that has to use those roads, so we agree access and parking before delivery day.

Slider, or would bifolds work better?

A slider gives you the largest glass and the cleanest view. A folding door clears more of the opening when it is fully open. If you are undecided, our sliding versus bifold comparison sets out the differences, and our Moor Park bifold page covers the folding systems we make.

From survey to handover

We come out from Fifield to survey, measuring the structural opening and checking the floor build-up so the track and threshold sit at the right level. Once the specification is agreed, the frames and vents are made in our own workshop, with lead times from 10 days. Our installers then fit the outer frame, lift in the vents, seal and adjust everything, and show you how the locks work. The work is covered by our 10-year guarantee, and we hold Constructionline Silver for projects run by a main contractor.

We also install sliding doors in Gerrards Cross, Radlett and Beaconsfield.

Frequently asked questions

How wide can a single ConceptPatio 130 vent be?

Reynaers lists a maximum vent width of 2,700 mm and the same maximum height, with each vent weighing up to 300 kg. A wide Moor Park opening is usually split into two or more vents, sliding past fixed panes. The exact limit for your door depends on glass and layout, so we confirm the figures at survey.

Will the estate company need to approve a new sliding door?

Moor Park (1958) Ltd states that its approval is needed for any work changing the outside of a house, in addition to council planning. That covers new or enlarged rear openings. Send plans and the viewing fee when you apply to Three Rivers, then pay the building levy once permission is granted, and keep the consent letter.

Can I have a flush threshold onto the terrace?

Reynaers quotes a minimum threshold height of 4 mm for ConceptPatio 130 in the lowest layouts, which gives an almost level step between the room and the terrace. A flush finish needs drainage planned outside the door. We check floor levels and falls at survey so the track and the paving work together.

Are Reynaers sliding doors secure enough for a detached house?

Reynaers lists PAS 24 and RC2 burglar resistance for ConceptPatio 130. PAS 24 is the British enhanced security standard for doorsets, tested against forced entry. We fit the tested hardware and glass to match the certified build, and we can talk through extra locking for doors facing a secluded garden.

How long does it take from order to installation?

Our lead time starts from 10 days after the specification is agreed, because we fabricate the doors in our own Fifield workshop. Larger or more complex openings can take longer. On the estate, the timing also depends on Moor Park (1958) Ltd consent and any Three Rivers planning approval, which should both be in place first.
